WEDDING FAQ'S

FAQ Weddings

Authentic, creative and natural! For most of your wedding day, I photograph things as they’re happening, in a journalistic-documentary style. I will give a small amount of creative direction in the couples photos following the wedding to get the best imaging of your special day! I truely love candid real life moments.
I’m a qualified Master wedding photographer with the NZIPPA (New Zealand Institute of Professional Photography) www.nzipp.org.nz
Lets be real here, not many of us feel comfortable in front of the camera, especially me. I am not going to get you to do any awkward naff posing that will make you feel uncomfortable, I want to capture you being your natural selves, your love, the laughter, and all those honest moments throughout the day.
Absolutely you can order books, I use NZ made designer Queensberry Albums and Vision Art fine art albums.
I will carefully edit every single image that is delivered to you. I edit around 20-30% in black and white and the rest in colour. I do not airbrush or liquify bodies nor do I superimpose images. Basic touchups are made only when something is extremely obtrusive to the imagery. If you require further touchup’s to your images, this can be done for an additional price on a picture by picture basis.
Some of my favourites weddings have been in the rain! I have a handful of white umbrellas and as long as you have an open mind and embrace the rain we can still make amazing moments happen in the rain!
Weddings, I normally pop up a sneak peak within the first week or two and then depending on my workload around 6-10 weeks for delivery.
The evening light is the best time to plan for your couples shoot, an hour or two before sunset when the light is beautiful and soft. For portraits, a couple of hours after sunset is also a lovely light.
As per the contract you would sign – the retainer fee is non-refundable. There are no refunds on any package unless otherwise stated in the contract.
Not at all! As long as your videographer respects the visual space (ie. not parking themselves in front of the altar for the entire ceremony) we will be just fine! Just be aware that we will most likely show up in each others shots from time to time.
I request a minimum of 1.5+ hours. That doesn’t include drive time or family photos. The more time you give me, the more photos I can give you.
I recommend you purchase an external hard drive to back your images up to. Keep in mind these units will fail in time, so make sure to change where they are backed up every couple of years. And make sure to print your images!
I take on a very limited amount of weddings each year and typically book a year in advance so if you'd like to book I recommend booking sooner rather than later.
