We feel awkward in front of the camera!

Let's be real here, not many of us feel comfortable in front of the camera, especially me. I am not going to get you to do any awkward naff posing that will make you feel uncomfortable, I want to capture you being your natural selves, your love, the laughter, and all those honest moments throughout the day.

How Long have you been a photographer?

Quite a few years, I was an adventure photographer prior to becoming a full-time wedding photographer. My first wedding was in Queenstown 20 years ago and then I went full time 12 years ago.

How long do we wait to see our photos?

Every single image is carefully edited and my standards are high. My digital process takes approximately 6 weeks, though it can take up to 10 weeks during the busy season.

When is the best time for light?

The "Golden hour" is the ideal light for your creative photographs. It is the hour before the sun sets in the evening and the sun is low in the sky creating soft flattery light. Unfortunately during the summer months this often clashes with your reception times. If you can make it work, plan to do the bridal party photos in the afternoon and then with just the two of you to pop out for 20 minutes during reception just before sunset. It'll be so worth it :)

Do you have any client reviews?

I sure do, just click this link for the reviews page - REVIEWS

When it rains!

Let go of caring/worrying about the weather and the forecast, it is completely outside of your control embrace it instead. As long as you are up for an adventure it will be incredible I have enough umbrellas for you and the bridal party, we can try and stay dry (or not!). Rain makes the colours pop and can make for some pretty epic images!

Do you travel?

Heck yeah, I love to travel!!! If I can drive to your wedding I charge 65c per/km for anything over 150 km round trip. If your wedding is outside of the Northland region we can talk about travel costs and accommodation. I try to keep these costs to the minimum.

Can we have digital copies of our photo's?

Of course! You’ll receive a high resolution copy of your images throughout the day on a bespoke USB. I also include smaller files for social media.

What gear do you use?

If you are a techno geek then this is for you! I use two Sony a7iii's, 135/1.4, 85/1.4, 50/1.4, 24/1.4 and 16-35/4 I have a Nikon D750 as a backup.

What is the booking process?

I love to chat with couples about what they have planned for their day, either at my studio or over skype. Then if we are a good fit there is a $500 retainer to lock in your date.

If we cancel our date do you refund the deposit?

Booking fees are used to reserve your date. Once I have reserved your date, I am unable to accept new clients for that date so unfortunately no.
