How would you describe your photography style?
We're awkward in front of the camera. Is that a problem?
Not even slightly.
About 95% of my couples tell me this before their wedding. By the end of the day they're usually saying, "That was way easier than we expected."
I'll give you plenty of guidance when you need it, but mostly I create situations where you can relax, interact naturally and forget the camera is even there.
Do you help with the timeline?
What's an unplugged ceremony?
An unplugged ceremony is when guests put away their phones and cameras so they can be fully present.
It means fewer phones in your photos and more actual faces. Highly recommended.
How many photos will we receive?
Every wedding is different, but a full-day wedding will typically receive between 800–1200 beautifully edited images.
I don’t put a limit on your memories or make you choose between them. If a photo helps tell the story of your day, you’ll receive it.
From the big moments to the little moments you didn’t even know were happening, my goal is to capture your wedding as completely and authentically as possible.
What happens if it rains?
Then we make some magic.
Northland weather likes to keep everyone guessing, but some of my favourite images have been created in wind, rain and dramatic skies. I always have a backup plan, a collection of umbrellas and a sense of adventure.
Can we bring our dog?
The answer is always HECK yes!!!
Dogs make weddings better. That’s not an official statistic, but I’m convinced it’s true.

What is a first look
A First Look is a private moment where you see each other before the ceremony.
Some couples love having a quiet moment together before the day kicks off. Others prefer to wait until the aisle moment. There is no right or wrong answer—only what feels right for you.
How long is our gallery online
Your password-protected online gallery will remain online for 3 years from the date your images are delivered.
During this time, you can download your images, share your gallery with family and friends, and order professional-quality prints, wall art and albums directly through the gallery. It’s especially handy if you have family overseas who would love to view and order their own copies.
That said, I always recommend downloading and backing up your images once you receive them. Your wedding photos are far too important to leave to chance.
Are our images retouched?
Yes, but only to a point.
I’ll happily remove temporary things like blemishes, scratches and bruises, but I won’t automatically reshape bodies, swap heads, remove guests or make you look like a completely different person.
My aim is for you to look like the best version of yourself, not someone else entirely.
If you’d like additional retouching on specific images, just let me know and I’ll let you know what’s possible.
How long do we need for photos?
This is one of the most common questions I’m asked, and the answer is always “a little longer than you think.”
For your couple and bridal party photos, I recommend allowing at least 60 minutes, with 90 minutes being ideal. This doesn’t include travel time between locations or your family photos.
The more time we have, the more relaxed everyone feels. Nobody enjoys being rushed from one location to the next, and giving yourselves a little breathing room means we can create natural images without constantly watching the clock.
It’s also often the first chance you’ll get to spend a few quiet moments together after the ceremony. So while I know you’ll be excited to get back to your guests, take a moment to soak it all in—you’ve just married your favourite person.
Who owns the Copyright?
As the photographer, I retain the copyright to all images.
You will receive a personal-use licence, which means you’re welcome to print, share and post your images on social media as much as you’d like. The only thing I ask is that the images aren’t altered with filters, crops or additional editing, as this changes the finished look of the photographs.
Your images are delivered without watermarks, and I absolutely love seeing them shared and enjoyed by you, your family and your friends.

What is your style?
My style is a mix of documentary and creative wedding photography.
I love capturing real moments as they happen – the laughter, happy tears, bear hugs, champagne sprays, dance floor antics and all the little moments in between that make your wedding uniquely yours.
While much of the day is photographed naturally as it unfolds, I’ll step in and provide guidance when needed, particularly during family photos and portraits. Nothing overly posed or awkward, just enough direction to help you look and feel your best.
My editing style is warm, timeless and true to life. I want your images to feel natural and full of emotion, with beautiful colour, genuine connection and all the memories that made your wedding day special.
When will we receive our photos?
Do you travel?
Heck yes.
I’m based in Kerikeri and photograph weddings throughout Northland and across New Zealand. If your wedding requires a road trip, boat trip or helicopter ride, I’m probably already excited.
What if we're running late?
t’s a wedding. Someone is almost always running late.
Don’t panic. I’ll help keep things moving, adjust where needed and make the most of whatever time we have. Some of my favourite weddings have run completely off schedule.
The only thing I need you to focus on is getting married and having a great time.
Do you work with videographers?
I do, and I highly recommend them.
Because let’s be honest, how often do you sit down and scroll through 1,000 wedding photos on your phone?
Albums are different. They’re the thing you pull out on anniversaries, show your kids one day, and leave lying around for guests to flick through when they visit.
Your wedding deserves more than a folder on a computer.
Do you provide albums?
Absolutely.
While digital images are wonderful, there is something special about holding your wedding photographs in your hands. Your album becomes the first family heirloom from your wedding day and is often one of the most treasured keepsakes you’ll own.
I offer beautiful handcrafted albums in a range of cover materials including leather, linen and velvet. Albums can be included in your collection or added after your wedding once you’ve had time to enjoy your gallery.
There’s something quite different about seeing your images in print rather than scrolling through them on a screen.
Do you photograph all the little details?
Flowers, rings, stationery, dresses, heirlooms, signs, table styling and all the bits you’ve spent months organising!!
What camera gear do you use?
I photograph weddings with professional Sony camera equipment, including two Sony A7IV bodies and two Sony A7III bodies.
On a wedding day, I shoot with two cameras on me at all times, each fitted with different lenses. My most-used lenses include the Sony GM 24mm f1.4, Sony GM 50mm f1.2, Sony GM 85mm f1.4, Sony 70-200mm and the incredibly versatile Tamron 35-150mm f2. This allows me to quickly switch from capturing wide scenes and landscapes to intimate moments and beautiful portraits without missing a thing.
All of my cameras have dual memory card slots, meaning every photograph is recorded to two memory cards at exactly the same time. From the moment I press the shutter, there are already two copies of your image safely stored.
I also carry backup camera bodies, lenses, flashes, triggers, batteries and memory cards because weddings don’t come with a rewind button.

Can our wedding vendors use the photos?
As the photographer, I retain the copyright to all images and you receive a personal-use licence. This means you’re welcome to print, share and enjoy your images however you wish for personal use.
If your venue or other wedding vendors would like to use the photographs for their website, social media or marketing, they simply need to get in touch with me for permission.
I’m always happy to provide images to other vendors as I love supporting the businesses I work alongside. I simply ask that they credit me when using my photographs.
When should we book?
Popular dates, especially Saturdays during summer, often book 12–24 months in advance. That said, it’s always worth getting in touch as there’s every chance your date may still be available.
Before booking, I love catching up over a coffee or hot chocolate, or jumping on a video call if you’re further afield. Choosing your wedding photographer is about more than loving their photo, you’ll spend a good part of your wedding day with them, so it’s important that we click, you feel comfortable, and you know exactly what to expect from me.
